The historic theatre in Klaipėda's old town was rebuilt for modern stage technology. The main hall received a new stage and auditorium, and the facade of the historic building became a wall of the new atrium, seen from inside.
Polychrome research uncovered the old building's paint layers, and the facades were painted in the first layer found. When part of an annex collapsed unexpectedly, the roof structure, columns and a wall had to be redesigned.
